This project is located in Fuqing City, Fujian Province, and is invested and constructed by Fujian Zhongmin New Energy Co. Our company undertook the pile foundation construction of two 100,000m³ prestressed cryogenic concrete propane storage tanks for this project. This construction adopted integrated construction technology of pile and column, each tank has 292 rotary bored piles with 47m pile length, 1.2m pile diameter, C40 concrete strength and 15,000KN vertical compressive ultimate bearing capacity of single pile.
The backfilled sand layer of the whole site is about 7~8m, and the silt layer is 6~8m. The thick backfill sand layer and silt layer brought great difficulties to the rotary drilling rig for drilling. According to the site geological situation, through on-site research, a good quality bentonite was selected as the slurry material, and xanthan gum was added to the slurry to improve the viscosity of the slurry to avoid hole collapse and improve the efficiency of drilling, and the construction task was completed successfully within the contract period.
The project started on June 26, 2021, and the main pile foundation was completed on October 29, 2022, in 125 days, with quality and quantity assurance, no quality accidents, no safety production accidents, no group health and hygiene incidents and environmental pollution accidents.
