Located in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, this project was commissioned by Shijiazhuang Urban Construction Investment and Holding Group Co., Ltd. The Group Company undertook the safety monitoring of the foundation pit and its zone of influence over the Beijing–Guangzhou conventional railway.
The project involved 16 monitoring items, covering comprehensive monitoring of both foundation pit deformation and the influence area on the active railway line. Monitoring commenced on March 17, 2025, and concluded on April 25, 2026, with a total monitoring period of 403 days, ensuring continuous and precise monitoring throughout the entire construction process.
The greatest challenge of this project was the need to maintain "construction while keeping the railway in operation." The Beijing–Guangzhou conventional railway had to remain fully operational throughout the construction period, and any falling monitoring equipment could potentially cause a train operation safety incident. To address this extreme safety requirement, the project team implemented an automated monitoring system, establishing a fully automated monitoring framework comprising data acquisition, transmission, central control, processing, analysis, and management. This system enabled automatic observation, recording, processing, storage, and deformation trend early warning without manual intervention. Additionally, specially designed fixing brackets for the automated total station and reflective prisms were developed based on the structural characteristics of the railway, ensuring that monitoring equipment remained absolutely stable and secure under the vibrating conditions caused by passing trains, thereby eliminating safety hazards at the source.
Throughout the project, strict compliance with specifications and technical requirements was maintained. No quality or safety incidents occurred, and no complaints were received from environmental authorities or other stakeholders. All monitoring documentation has been submitted to the client and successfully passed the special acceptance inspection.
